Hey there, glad you made it. I am Samuel Murray, a graphic designer, web designer, illustrator and animator based in South Devon. I wanted a place to post my process work, but equally my hobby projects and general insights about design, art, media and business.

I guess I can use this as an area to get things off of my chest too right? As a professional designer, one of the things that grates on me is inconsistency. For example, multi-million pound business Costa Coffee has just opened their new cafe in Next clothing store in Wren Park, Torquay. Much to my horror, they have hung up a sign on the existing entrance sign stating ‘COSTA CAFE OPEN NOW!’ in a condensed ‘Impact’ style font. This doesn’t tie in with the Costa brand whatsoever. I could go on, but I will leave it there.

I promise it won’t be full of complaints, it will be full of praise! I love seeing what other people are doing for design work in Torbay and surrounding South Devon.

Check this space in the coming weeks for more content! In the meantime, if you’d like to work with me, feel free to contact me via the details on my contact page.
