As an artist I always would shy away from collage, not because I didn’t like it, but because I had no motive with it.

Collage never seemed like a relevent use of media, until now.

Now being stuck at my desk at home in Torquay more than ever, I have felt a need for visual stimulation that I would normally get from the outside world. A clever logo design, a beautifully crafted brochure or receiving a spot UV business card.

That made me think. There are all these beautiful, unused, unloved images of a safer planet just waiting to be reimagined (for free too) on websites like unsplash.com and pexels, so this would surely be a great thing.

So I have begun experimenting with collage and I feel this is the very beginning! Being a lover of typography, when I am feeling more confident I will look at involving letters in my experiments. It would be interesting to explore this commercially too, if you have any ideas, let me know!
